Play Track Act
Play, Track, Act is an early childhood development app that parents can use to track their child’s development over time. The app looks out for key developmental indicators that can predict if a child is austistic. From there, the app gives tips to parents on how to interact with their child and even helps alert them when to seek out more professional care.

I was hired by the CEO of Consortium for Health Action, Dr. Colin Ohrt to redesign on their existing Android application with the overarching goal to improve the user experience and to add new features that can make it more accessible for users in developing countries.
During this project, I worked closely with a content designer and a subject expert matter to ensure the accuracy of the application's content per the CDC guidelines. After I presented the prototype to the stakeholders, Consortium for Health Action secured a fund from the military in support for the launch of Play Track Act.
By the end of the project, I delivered a responsive prototype with an auto layout, along with a complete design library. Consortium for Health Action is currently developing its own activities in video format to be added to the application as it is being developed.

The Blocker
Heuristic Evaluation
One of the earliest blockers I faced when I started this project was the lack of any user research prior to designing their application. The application was a replica of the CDC Milestone Tracker App which was taken down at the time from the Apple Store to be redesigned. The CDC application performed poorly and it failed to get its users engaged.

Competitor Analysis
When I decided to conduct the comparative analysis, my main goal was to demonstrate best practices design to the client and explain why the old version of Play Track Act did not achieve its goal in retaining its users.
